"I want every song to feel like a Sunday afternoon in Accra — warm, alive, full of people you love."
Born in 1998 in the buzzing neighborhood of Osu, Abel grew up surrounded by sound. His father played highlife records every morning. His mother sang him to sleep with old Twi lullabies. By the time he was twelve, he was already writing his first songs on a borrowed acoustic guitar.
In 2018 he released his first EP, Harmattan, on SoundCloud — a quiet, lo-fi project that quickly found its audience across West Africa. By 2021, his single "Accra Nights" had crossed three million streams.
Today, Abel splits his time between his home studio in East Legon and tour stops across Lagos, London, Paris and New York. His music blends the hand drums and brass of classic afrobeat with contemporary production — warm, widescreen, and unmistakably Ghanaian.
